Roles and responsibilities:

  • Work in a small team to help lead the demand review consensus process.  
  • Analyse trends to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and forecast bias. Document assumptions related to major changes of forecast
  • Work collaboratively with supply planning to ensure best quality demand signal is sent to production plants on a monthly basis
  • Support Sales, New Product Launch and Product Management teams to detail monthly forecast by plant/customer/SKU that maximises profit
  • Interface with supply planning/sales and product managers to manage product allocations
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of sales strategies and initiatives including gaps and opportunities between latest forecast and annual operating plans
  • Hold regular stakeholder meetings to optimise the sales opportunities for SFI & BI
  • Lead Demand Planning group capabilities and processes that help drive high performance and growth
  • Track weekly/monthly forecast error results versus established targets and identify and report on root cause for forecast error below targets
  • Play a lead role in the annual planning process across the S&OP planning team. Ensure linkage to monthly volume forecast as part of financial forecasting process
  • Work collaboratively with customers to improve demand signals
  • Collaborate cross functionally to determine optimal SKU assortment that achieves margin, revenue, and optimal sales opportunities. Work with supply planning and finance to simulate what-ifs scenarios
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects


Key skills/experience required:

  • 3+ years demand planning experience essential
  • SAP APO DP experience essential
  • Proven experience in successively challenging managerial leadership position
  • Negotiation skills across broad platform
  • Excellent analytical skillsets
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Capable of building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships
  • Comfortable and capable of seeing the “big picture”; able to think conceptually and strategically, yet able to deliver concrete results
  • High energy and self-motivated, and confident of leading change
  • 3-5 years of experience in Statistical Forecasting, Business Forecasting and communication to large teams and upper management. Understanding of multiple regression models.
  • Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning
  • Experience in leading and designing S&OP processes
