Description
- Manage third party logistics provider that oversees a global supply chain network of consolidation hubs and vendor direct shipments.
- Develop and manage standard operating procedures for third party logistics provider.
- Execute HUB team tasks in order to ensure efficient and compliant operations for the company.
- Work with Global Transportation, trade compliance supervisors and their teams to ensure that all US and foreign Customs entries are handled in compliance with local, state, federal and international laws and regulations.
- Oversee and process daily export formalities on franchise partner shipments.
- Provide on-boarding direction and support for all new franchise partners for logistics related topics.
- Identify, review and manage key metrics to monitor third party logistics performance.
- Recap and publish key metrics and findings for the monthly productivity reviews with the leadership team.
- Foster a culture of change by supporting and driving new concepts.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the warehouse management system (WMS), as well as other systems that interact with the WMS.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the processes and procedures for all distribution channels, including Transportation, Import/Export, Merchandising and Retail requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends in warehousing best practices and methodology, as well as material handling, equipment, vendors and innovation.
- Use knowledge of Customs and other regulatory requirements to review shipping documents and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Audit entries created by customs brokers or automated processes (such as FTZ or international store shipment systems) into countries other than the S. where the company acts as the importer of record.
- Create and maintain the on-network file structure for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual logistics reports.
- Manage and audit discrepancy reporting and QA functions.
- Manage third party logistics invoices, discrepancy identification, resolution and approval for payment.
- Follow-up on all over/short international shipments and make reports or change filings in accordance with governmental regulations.
- Provide timely allocations for franchise goods.
- Possess a through understanding of training resources, standard operating procedures and guidelines to provide to and educate franchise managed distribution centers.
- Act as a liaison between International Operations, Transportation, Merchandising, Export, Sourcing, internal distribution and franchise partner distribution regarding volume and shipment timing.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with vendors, buying agents, customs brokers, transportation providers, U.S. Customs and other regulatory.
- Support International Operations, Transportation, Merchandising, Sourcing and Financial teams by answering questions and offering assistance when needed.
- Collaborate with Merchandising leadership to represent the company's global supply chain regarding changes to network flow, facility services and processes.
- Support coordination of freight forwarders and carriers with franchise partners to ensure optimal efficiency.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years experience managing third party vendor relationships
- Bachelors degree required
- Work in required systems (Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel, Google Apps for Work) accurately and efficiently
