Position Overview
Responsible for coaching, motivating and leading warehouse employees to accomplish the productivity goals  for the building.  Establish a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently.  Foster a safe and healthy work environment. Use management tools including labor management, ADP, WMS and other appropriate systems to effectively manage the shift /functional area.

Position Responsibilties

Operations Management
Manage the daily operations to achieve business goals including metrics and productivity standards and customer expectations. Drive a culture of accountability by conducting safety, quality and productivity observations and providing appropriate feedback to employees.

People Leadership
Drive positive business results by building an engaged workforce.  Partner with leadership and human resources to establish a culture where employees are treated with respect, provided the resources to accomplish the business goals, and given effective feedback to accomplish their goals.

PInformation & System Management
DUse all available data to manage the shift and / or functional area effectively.   Develop a thorough understanding of / or customer systems and utilize the systems to meet productivity standards, drive continuous improvement within the operation and manage the day to day operations of the business. Provide information to the appropriate stakeholders to support the success of the operation.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
